Transition: From Clay to Fiber

Linda grew up in Philadelphia and received her BFA from Tyler School of Art where she concentrated on printmaking. After moving to Stroudsburg over 25 years ago, she began working in ceramics in her barn/studio. In her own words:

“A few years ago I started to feel restless in my ceramic work and learned wet felting. I fell in love with the process. Like clay, it is a very hands on medium. I loved the endless colors of wool available and the textures and shapes I am still experimenting with. I started adding embellishments such as stitching and beading and another world opened.

I am now working exclusively in fiber, no longer in my barn, but right on my dining room table. It’s been a long, strange trip.”
