Donna Kallesser

Donna has been known primarily for her traditional still life and floral paintings in oil but has begun landscape painting both en plein air and from photographs. She has no formal training, and has worked hard to improve her skills over the years by scouring instruction books, tutorials and by attending an occasional workshop.

Tonalism is of special interest to Donna as she is intrigued by the soft subtle values and light in landscapes painted by artists such as George Inness.
