Sylvia Thompson (she/her/they) is a queer photographer, artist, and entrepreneur, currently based in East Stroudsburg, PA. Throughout her creative career she has entered into numerous artistic avenues, constantly seeking inspiration and exploring new media, with a deep appreciation for nature, culture, unity, and the power of creativity.

Driven by her passion for fostering an artistic community, Sylvia founded Create & Be Art and Cultural Studio, located in the heart of Stroudsburg, PA, a platform that serves as a safe haven for the tribe of creatives, enabling them to unleash their true potential and authentically embody their life’s purpose. 

Artist Statement:

My family, chosen family and friends are largely a part of what I am influenced by. I am grateful for being able to be a part of their journey even if I only receive a small glimpse. It gives me a true sense of being in the right place at the right time. The scenes, portraits and mixed media signify moments in my life of either transformation, joy or being present in the moment.
